Herrenstolz German Shepherds

"Carlyle (a Lars and Mari puppy) is everything we could have dreamed of for a family pet and more. He is smart, very handsome (although we admittedly are biased), has a great temperament (getting along great with visitors to the house, children and other dogs), and is doing great in obedience training. We visited and researched other breeders, but none compared to Eleanor and Herrenstolz when it came to the quality of the dogs.

Carlyle has now been with us for almost 7 months and we find it hard to remember what life was without him. We’re looking forward to next year when he’s a little older and fully grown when we’ll start taking Agility lessons, something he seems likely to enjoy from how he likes to play in a toy tunnel we’ve bought him."

Carlyle at ~9 months

"We loved our first Herrenstoltz GSD puppy so much, that we just had to get a 2nd pup! :-) Wrigley joined our family in late September.

Both of our Herrenstoltz GSDs are gorgeous, intelligent, and have excellent temperments. We get constant compliments on them. They've done well in obedience training, love the dog park and doggie daycare, and are learning agility. We are so grateful for our 'K9 kids.'

According to Rod & Kelly Ditrich, in Olympia, WA, "She is a dream!  We are really enjoying her. She is a Ricki and Lars pup. She's extremely smart and has tons of personality."

"A few months after losing a beloved 15.5 year old German shepherd, we decided we were ready to add a new 4-legged child to the family.

After visiting Eleanor, meeting a 4-week old litter of Zeffra’s pups, and spending some time with the pups’ parents (Zeffra and Aro), we were sold. A few weeks later we brought home the newest member of our family, a beautiful dark-faced puppy named Keeva. She’s now 12 weeks old, and we love her to death. She’s very smart, has already learned a number of commands, and is a joy to have around.

Our great friends and companions Nadja and Mingo are now 6 years old. They are everything we wanted in a family and neighborhood pet. Everyone who meets them compliments us on how beautiful and well behaved they are.
 
I have been working from home for the past three years and the dogs are constantly by my side. We take time out for long walks in the woods, their favorite activity.  We also have fun playing "Chucker Ball" and Frisbee.  Both Nadja and Mingo are very fond of all of the little people in the neighborhood and have lots of them come to visit. They are also very social with other animals and make friends everywhere we go.
